FESTIVAL OVERVIEW

The Charleston International Film Festival (CIFF), will take place April 9th-13th. Now in its 7th year, the festival exists to educate and inspire film makers, actors, and creative professionals within the Lowcountry and beyond. The festival boasts an international film and screenplay competition, educational workshops, and nightly after parties.

 

 

Over the course of this springtime event in Charleston, film critics and aficionados alike can enjoy an array of cinematic options. A wide range of subjects and styles are explored as the festival includes new features, documentaries, shorts, and animated movies. The event lends exposure to emerging talent in acting, writing, and filmmaking disciplines and gives those pursuing those fields opportunities to participate in educational workshops and professional forums. Following the films, guests can enjoy nightly after-paties at some of the finest venues in the southeast. The festival concludes witha formal Awards Gala, where film stand-outs are recognized and honored.
