Home to American Classic Tea, the Charleston Tea Planation is America's only tea garden. The grounds are located in Wadmalaw and include over 125 acres of Camelia Sinensis tea plants, a working tea factory, and lovely gift shop serving up a selection of tea samples for visitors daily.
Charleston Tea Plantation Tours
The grounds of the plantation, the gift shop, and the factory tour are free of charge to visiting guests. For visitors who want to explore the grounds and learn more, a 35-40 minute Trolley Tour is available at a cost of $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 years of age and under.

While You're in the John's Island Area
I highly encourage guests in the area to go see the Angel Oak located at 3688 Oak Road, Charleston, SC 29455 just off Bohicket / Main Road. This 65 foot tall sprawling Oak is a magnificant example of nature and thought to be one of the oldest living things east of the Mississippi River. Entrance to see the Angel Oak is free of charge during regular operating hours.
