The Sound of Charleston will take guests on a journey through the musical history and heritage of the Lowcountry. Visitors will enjoy the sounds that have defined Charleston's musical legacy including gospel, music from the Civil War, jazz, light classics, and excerpts from one of Charleston's more well known composers, Gershwin. A concert host gives guests a running narrative on the history of the featured pieces as the performance is presented.

A rotating line-up of professional artists creates the cast for these 75-minute concerts. Performances are held in the historic Circular Congregationtional Church at 150 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29401.
