Save the sea turtles! That's just what the South Carolina Aquarium is trying to do. This type of work isn't a new endeavor for the staff and volunteers at the aquarium, but it's recently reached a whole new level with the opening of the Zucker Family Sea Turtle Recovery. Glimpse Back Into Naval History

Guests will take a step into military history when they enter the Patriots Point Museum, home of the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier, the USS Laffey Battleship, the Vietnam Experience Exhibit, the Cold War Memorial, and the Medal of Honor Museum. Tours depart in the morning and guests will have approximately 4 hours to explore the exhibits of these amazing examples of maritime and WWII history.

This ticket grants guests access to all the Patriot's Point exhibits above including access to the flight deck of the USS Yorktown. Transportation from any location downtown to the museum and back is included. Guests may purchase lunch on-board but the cost is not included in the fees below.

Your group will enjoy a unique team building experience paddling on either the Folly Creek on James Island or Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant. Your certified kayaking guide will introduce the group to the basics of paddling during land instruction. Following your land instruction, the guide will lead the group through some team building exercises on the water, followed by a tour of the creek environment. Groups can expect beautiful backdrops of marshland and regular guest appearances by leaping shrimp, stately egrets and pelicans, blue crabs, curious dolphins, and even the occasional manatee. What You'll Need to Bring: Comfortable attire to paddle in (swim suit and synthetic shorts or pants and shirt or tank top are recommended). Appropriate footweat includes: Teva or Chaco style sandal, water shoes, wetsuit booties or tennis shoes that you don't mind getting wet with wool socks. Sunscreen and 1 liter of bottled water are recommended. A hat is helpful if you are sun sensitive.

This high ropes adventure course is great for family reunions, a unique office party, or a bachelor or bachelorette weekend with 72 different challenge features to navigate from crossing suspended bridges to swinging across ropes like Tarzan. The course is separated into 3 levels of difficulty, so there are challenge obstacles just right for everyone.

Charleston High Ropes Course Climbing Adventure:

Ropes Course Puts Safety First

The ropes course used in both offerings uses one of the safest belaying systems in the industry, and literally won’t allow you to proceed forward unless you are safely secured to the course. Both options Traveling Ink offers also include ground school instruction to teach participants how to safely navigate the course. That said, the course's most difficult elements are as high as 35 feet in the air. If you are fearful of heights, come ready to conquer your fears or leave this adventure until next time. Ropes course participants should come prepared with comfortable athletic attire and closed-toed tennis or athletic shoes for climbing.
